Chrysophase

A form of chalcedony, chrysophase is at its best when it shows an intense apple-green colour with a beautiful translucency. However, depending on the nickel content in the stone, chrysophase can range from pale green to occasionally a deep green, and sometimes in its more vibrant shades, it can mimic emerald. It can also be dyed, which will decrease its value, but the chrysophase I have on this site is un-dyed.
