It's not the most inspiring of names, in fact it always makes me think of something you might clean your car with, but this stone is vibrant and lively with a dramatic bright green colour, due to the presence of chromium, and from where it takes its name. It is also a very refractive gem, so the stones appear brilliant with a glassy lustre. This is a great choice if you want vibrant bright green at a reasonable price.
